Past . Present . Future: music is life and breath

I came across this beautiful piece of piano by Sofiane Pamart by chance, looking up a poem on the internet. It matches I think, with a video I took of a recent art installation at the 180 Reverb Exhibition in London. The art piece is of ice dripping into a pool of water which reflects a video behind it, clouds moving in front of a sunset. The shape of the screen is a circle and so it feels as if you are looking at the beauty of the whole world.

The Reverb exhibition is a reminder that our connection with music and art is as essential to our human state as breathing. It is a celebration of the endless joy and mystery that music brings to our existence.

Down the steps into The Vinyl Factory, the warren of dark rooms shines light on various musical eras and reminded me how important it is to honor the music that shaped me, embrace the music that speaks to the heart and to listen out more intently for the sounds of the future, because this, for me, is life and breath.
